Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account data: Full name, email address, and password (hashed with bcrypt, never stored in plain text).
• Invitation content: Couple names, wedding date, event details, photos, and other content you add to your invitation.
• Guest data: Names, phone numbers, and email addresses of guests you add or who RSVP.
• Payment data: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We store only the Razorpay order ID and payment status — never your card or bank details.

We also collect limited analytics data automatically when guests view your invitation:

• Hashed IP address (one-way hash — cannot be reversed to identify a person)
• User-agent string (browser/device type)
• Event type (opened, shared, clicked directions)

• To create and operate your wedding invitation
• To send OTP verification and transactional emails (RSVP notifications, payment confirmation)
• To provide analytics on how guests engage with your invitation
• To process and verify payments
• To improve the product

We do not sell your data to any third party, use it for advertising, or share it beyond what is needed to operate the service.

We share your data only with the following service providers, strictly for operating Lagnpatrika:

• MongoDB Atlas — database hosting
• Cloudinary — photo and media storage
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Razorpay — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Vercel — frontend hosting
• Railway — backend hosting

Your account and invitation data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it (e.g., payment records for 7 years under Indian law).

Guest data (names, phone numbers) that you import or that guests submit via RSVP is stored on our servers and is accessible only to you (the invitation owner). Guests who RSVP consent to their response being stored and shared with the invitation owner.

We use one cookie: token — an HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict JWT cookie used to authenticate your dashboard session. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing lagnpatrika.in@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
